Cabin to Lake Access Hike - About 1 mile

Start by walking down to the Ken's Market parking lot.  In the corner of the parking lot is this trail access:

Start down the trail.  After about a quarter mile you will start to see signs that look like these on the left:

Just before about a half mile, you will come upon an intersection with the following signs.  The first pic is from your direction of travel, so you will see the back of the sign on the left.  The second picture shows the front side of this sign.  The third picture shows a sign to the right of your trail.  To the right of this 'Museum' sign is a path as shown - this is the path to the lake!

After another quarter mile or so, you will pop out at the entrance to Dorabelle campground.  You can either continue across the street and you will be on Shaver Lake's Perimeter Trail with lots of lake access, or you can go through the Dorabelle campground to the day use access you'll find at the bottom of the hill.  These pictures show where you emerge at the entrance to the campground and the two options for continuing to the lake.
