Shaver Lake Cabins Policies

Check-In and Check-Out

  • Check-In/Check-Out Time: For all of our properties, guests can check in anytime after 3:00 PM. Check out is 11 AM. Early check-ins or late check-outs may be available upon request but are subject to availability and a fee. Thanks to our automated check in and access system, after hours arrivals or early morning departures are fine!
  • Self Check In: Details on self check-in and smart lock codes will be shared through message and/or email 24-48 hours before your arrival. Especially when booking through third party apps, the messages are often found in email spam folders. In all cases, feel free to contact us with questions.

Cancellations

  • For the Elliott House Boutique Inn, cancellations received 72 hours before the arrival time are eligible for a full refund. Reservations canceled less than 72 hours prior to the stay will be charged in full. Reservations made within 72 hours of the arrival date are considered non-refundable.
  • For our vacation rental cabins booked directly, cancellations received 5 days prior to the arrival date are eligible for a full refund. Reservations cancelled within 5 days of the arrival will be charged in full. For bookings made through external agencies (Airbnb, VRBO, etc.) we will honor the cancellation policy published on that site at time of booking. 
  • No shows - Guests who fail to cancel their reservation, and do not check-in on the day of arrival, will be charged in full.

Payments

  • Unless previously arranged, all payments are due and charged at time of booking. In the event of cancellation, refunds will be issued in accordance with the cancellation policies above. Refunds are processed at time of cancellation and typically take 3-5 business days to appear in the account.
  • For bookings of our cabin rentals, a security deposit is collected through a pre-authorization charge on the payment method provided at time of booking. A pre-authorization of $100.00 is held 1 day before arrival and voided 5 days after departure if there are no collections for damages or extra charges.

Early Check-out

  • There is no refund for early check-out at any of our suites / cabins.

Smoking

  • No Smoking Indoors: Smoking of any kind (including cigarettes, cigars, pipes, electronic cigarettes, and vaping devices) is strictly prohibited inside the properties.
  • Smoking is permitted outdoors only, at a courteous distance that will not disturb others. Please properly dispose of all cigarette butts and waste in provided receptacles.
  • A $300 cleaning fee will be charged if evidence of indoor smoking is found. Guests may also be responsible for additional costs related to cleaning, odor removal, or damage caused by smoking.
  • Please ensure all smoking materials are fully extinguished to prevent fire hazards. Smoking near entryways, open windows, or flammable materials is not permitted.

Pets

  • Our Aspen Escape and Bungalow on Buckeye properties are pet friendly! The pet fee is $50 per stay and is non-refundable. The pet fee should be selected as an add on at time of checkout. We ask that you clean up after your pets and do not leave them indoors for extended periods of time unattended. Any damage caused by pets will be subject to an additional charge.
  • Elliott House Boutique Inn - We appreciate your affection for your pets. However, we do not allow pets of any kind in any suites. Our Silver Pine Lodge also does not allow pets. Noncompliance will be subject to a minimum $100 fee, plus a charge for any additional cleaning or repairs.

Winter Travel

At Shaver Lake Cabins we love our winter weather, but we understand that the cold conditions can sometimes impact travel plans. To ensure clarity and fairness, please review our winter travel policy before booking:

  • If roads leading to our property are officially closed by local authorities due to winter conditions, we will offer a full refund or the option to reschedule your stay.
  • If chains are required to access the property but the roads remain open, the reservation will not be eligible for a refund or rescheduling.
  • Please ensure your vehicle is properly equipped with chains or traction devices during the winter season.
  • Guests are responsible for monitoring weather and road conditions prior to travel.

Security Camera Policy

To ensure the safety and security of our guests and property, our properties are equipped with security cameras. Below are the details of our camera usage:

  • Cameras are installed on the exterior of the property and monitor the entryways, access points, driveways and parking areas. The cameras are strictly for security purposes to monitor and protect the property.
  • For the Silver Pine Lodge, there is a motion detecting security camera in the common living room for use between bookings. This camera will be disabled during the duration of the stay for all bookings.
